A fantastic opportunity has become available for a full time Trainee Buyer to join a high growth property development company based in South Wales. The company is expected to deliver over 250 homes per year over the next couple of year. The position is for an experienced and motivated individual that wishes to progress in their career and join a company with exciting future growth prospects. The position will be office based in Swansea.

This position is for working 5 days from 8:30am to 5:00pm

The main duties and responsibilities will be to work with the commercial and buying department to ensure projects have sufficient materials to progress, and to ensure site teams are managing materials correctly.

Key Responsibilities

**Material Procurement** - Material enquires, completion of procurement tracer and evaluation of returned quotes, assistance in value engineering

**Supplier liaison** - Liaise with suppliers to build relationships and agree discounts

**Payment terms and Rebates** - Negotiation of payment terms and agreeing rebates with the suppliers

**Raising call off orders** - Draft purchase orders through the accounting software and submit to the suppliers and site managers

**Management of plant** - Hire and review of plant hire records on a weekly basis

**Material cashflows** - Cash flowing of materials, working with the site mangers on call off date
- Knowledge of the house building industry is desirable.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £10.00-£12.00 per hour
