**Fleet Operations Supervisor**
**Location**: Runcorn
**Hours**: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 18:00 (1-hour lunch break)
**Salary**: £32,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)

**About the Role**
WS Transportation is seeking a reliable and organised **Fleet Operations Supervisor** to join our team. This is a key role responsible for supporting the effective maintenance and compliance of our vehicle fleet, ensuring operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will supervise the fleet team and provide support to the Fleet Department and Fleet/Workshop Manager.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment, takes pride in their work, and demonstrates strong leadership and administrative abilities.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Maintain accurate vehicle records to ensure regulatory compliance and value for money
- Organise and manage vehicle repairs, MOTs, and servicing schedules
- Supervise vehicle breakdown responses and defect reporting
- Ensure maintenance schedules are adhered to, maximising fleet availability
- Monitor and manage budgets relating to fleet repairs and associated costs
- Develop and maintain fleet policies and procedures, ensuring team awareness and compliance
- Oversee the issuing of order numbers and organise all fleet-related documentation
- Arrange repair and maintenance for all ancillary equipment
- Maintain the fleet management system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Escalate any vehicle accidents to the appropriate personnel
- Provide general support to the Fleet Department and carry out duties as reasonably requested by your line manager
- Contribute positively to upholding and promoting the WS Transportation brand

**Person Specification**

**Skills and Experience**:

- Proven ability to manage a high workload in a structured and efficient manner
- Experience in fleet or transport operations is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Confident in using Microsoft Word; knowledge of Excel is advantageous
- Able to handle challenging situations professionally
- Demonstrates initiative in problem-solving and service improvement
- Capable of achieving individual targets and contributing to departmental goals
- Awareness of the wider operational impact of fleet management
