Senior Technical Architect Storm

**Are you a Senior Technical Architect looking for a new challenge?** We are recruiting a Senior Technical Architect to help support the overall architecture for our products. The role will contribute to a team that develops technically complex solutions to a broad client base across Blue Light Services. Location is not criticalbut will be oriented towards our Head Office in Hemel Hempstead and the Southern / South Western geographies and hybrid working between home and Hemel Hempstead/ London would be expected. The aspects of the role as Technical Architect for STORM, as part of a Technical Design Authority virtual team, you will own the end-to-end architectural deliverables along with establishing the technical direction and delivery architecture within the Sector,working closely and reporting to the Head of Propositions.** What you will be doing**: - Works with the Public Safety Group management teams to assist in the technical architecture definition and development of Client business and ITSolutions. - Responsible for ensuring best practice architectural standards, methodologies and tools are delivered across PSG. - Lead Technical Design Authority on STORM product set - SmartSTORM and STORM.Net, STORM MA - Evaluation of and Arbitration on significant product changes working closely with developer teams - Assurance of Product Quality by good Design (as opposed to "by Testing") - Develop overall solutions architecture for bids and other requirements as required, being responsible for the fitness for purpose of overall solutions. - Controls overall system design within an enterprise or industry architecture framework. - Influences and adapts industry-based models for the development of new business architectures and IS/IT systems. - Ensure solutions meet non-functional requirements, including: performance, scalability, availability, security, manageability, adaptability and digital ethics (not introducing bias) - Ensures appropriate documentation of: business architecture, software architecture, infrastructure architectures, technical solutions, implementation strategies, are of a high level of quality. - Identify, assess and communicate all technical risks to Product Management so that they can be managed and appropriate commercial decisions can be taken. - Take ownership of all technical risks and ensure resolution or mitigation. - Investigation and resolution of complex issues **What you’ll bring**: - Ability to create or select, modify and implement appropriate design patterns to solve complex architectural issues (e.g. CAD intelligence, Code Creators) - Experience developing software across multiple platforms, on premis, cloud, mobile **It would be great if you had**: - Experience as a Solution Architect within an Enterprise IT Service and Digital Transformation Business - Experience of working with critical services departments and driving business change in the Public Sector. - Experience in influencing and developing technology strategies as well as an appreciation of the complexities of customer acquisition and retention and working with presales as technical prime - Experience of managing multiple stakeholders, acting as change agent internally and externally and a role model for technology staff including developers and QA and test. - [FS1]It think that this is the responsibility of the Development lead and not the Technical Architect If you are interested in this role but not sure if your skills and experience are exactly what we’re looking for, please do apply, we’d love to hear from you **Employment Type: Full-time Location: UK Remote Security Clearance NPPV3 Internal Recruiter: Josh Huggins-Smith **Salary**: £65,000 to £70,000 Benefits: £5,400 car allowance, 25 days annual leave with the option to buy additional days, private medical, life assurance, pension, and generous flexible benefits fund** **Loved reading about this job and want to know more about our company?** Sopra Steria’s Aerospace, Defence and Security business designs, develops and deploys digital solutions to Central Government clients.
