**PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES OF ROLE****:

- The purpose of the role is to assist in the development of the College’s provision to achieve contractual and academic growth, progression and quality targets.
- To contribute to the design and delivery of curriculum which meet the needs of
- the young people and adults accessing foundation provision from the Worcestershire and surrounding area community.
- To support curriculum staff in the development and delivery of high-quality teaching, learning and assessment within the area.
- To provide key partner liaison and development with external delivery partners e.g., DWP and other support organisations.
- To provide key internal partner liaison with vocational directorates to promote and support progression to further learning.

**KEY ROLES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES**:** COLLEGE-WIDE RESPONSIBILITIES**
- To show commitment to the College and its internal and external customers.
- To support the College in its corporate endeavours and achievement of its Mission and Strategic Plan.
- To represent the College in a professional manner at all times, acting as a role model to all staff and students
- To respect colleagues and students at all times
- To contribute to the Programme area Self-Assessment and course level reviews.
- To demonstrate commitment to College Policies including Health & Safety, Equality & Diversity and Quality improvement.
- To participate in staff development activities as appropriate to the role.
- To assist colleagues and other departmental teams to ensure an efficient and effective cross-College service.
- To fully support the College Values at all times.
- Act as day/evening Duty Manager when required.

**RECRUITMENT, ENROLMENT, INFORMATION, ADVICE AND GUIDANCE**
- To assist the CRQ Manager in developing directorate targets relating to student numbers within the business planning framework. To include FE, HE, community, commercial and franchised provision as well as funded projects
- Provide leadership to a dedicated team of staff in all direct areas of responsibility to ensure College targets are met.
- Support curriculum staff in the implementation of agreed strategies, plans and processes to ensure that students are enrolled on the right course at the right level
- Support curriculum staff in the implementation of agreed strategies, plans and processes to provide effective leadership to retain students and enable them to succeed in achieving their goals.
- Support curriculum staff in the implementation of agreed strategies, plans and processes to ensure continual improvement, increased participation and enhanced progression routes.

***CURRICULUM**
- Assist in developing curriculum plans working closely with the CRQ Manager.
- To assist in the production of an annual development plan for the area of work, to achieve agreed targets.
- Ensure high levels of responsiveness are achieved and opportunities for growth are maximised.
- To assist in identifying new areas of development responding to national, regional and local priorities.
- Promote and encourage individual and team achievements implementing positive change strategies when appropriate
- To report on key performance indicators, producing course and programme area level reports and statistical data.
- Liaise with the College MIS department to ensure accuracy of learner centred data.
- Work in partnership with a range of external agencies (such as Schools, colleges, Universities, employers, WBL partnerships and networks, LEP etc) in order to raise the profile of Heart of Worcestershire College
- Identify external regional and local influences impacting on the College’s provision, and work with others to position the College in a way that safeguards market share and identifies opportunities for growth
- Implement actions to improve delivery of curriculum including functional skills, and review suitable blended learning delivery models for all relevant programmes
- Meet regularly with curriculum staff and others to ensure that everyone is clear about college priorities and expectations.

**FINANCE AND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT**
- To assist in the preparation of curriculum budgets at course level.
- To assist in managing the departmental and course level budgets against agreed allocations
- Plan, deploy and manage resources for the on-going delivery of an effective service
- Have an understanding of the relevant funding methodologies to achieve optimum levels of curriculum funding.
- Work with the CRQ Manager to ensure smooth running of the Colleges main campus and satellite centre(s) for delivery of curriculum, programmes, and projects
- Provide information to assist in the development of capital and other bids to support college growth and curriculum development

**HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT**
- To aid the development of teaching, learning and assessment through the effective and efficient use of resources and staff.
