In this role, you’ll support a small, but well-established HR team with all day-to-day HR operations. You will provide assistance across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, new joiners onboarding, employee exits, learning and development.
You will have good understanding of the HR processes gained in a similar role, but you will also be keen to learn, and enjoy a challenge. We are looking for someone who is proactive and able to manage their own workload. Strong people skills are a must
This role offers hybrid-working, with 2/3 days based in our Hertford office and the rest of the week working from home. It will also involve occasional travel to our London office.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Providing administration support across the full employee life cycle
- New starters administration (reference checks, preparing job offers and employment contracts, updating systems, HR inductions)
- Leaver administration (letters/documentation, exit interviews, updating systems)
- Maintaining accurate HR and employee records, including regularly updating our HR systems
- Preparing HR documentation, contract variations, letters etc.
- Monitoring of the HR inbox and being the first point of contact for all HR queries
- Administering DBS checks and employment references
- Monitoring employee absence and sick leave
- Monitoring probations, liaising with line managers to ensure all reviews are completed
- Preparing regular HR reports (headcount, turnover, absence etc)
- Assisting with performance reviews and employee surveys
- Assisting with L&D projects, DE&I and wellbeing initiatives
- Other HR tasks as required
**Skills you need to succeed**:
- Proven experience in an HR administrative role
- Excellent organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize heavy workload and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
