**Hours**: Part-Time (30 hours over 4 days)

**Duration**: 9 months with potential for extension

**Key Requirements**:

- **Valid Driving Licence**: A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.

**Role Summary**:
As an Attendance Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the attendance and well-being of pupils within the community. Your primary responsibility will be conducting home visits to ensure pupils' attendance and welfare, collaborating closely with educational teams and families to promote regular school attendance, and contributing to the positive development and welfare of children and young people.

**Responsibilities**:
**Home Visits**: Conduct home visits to ensure pupils' attendance and well-being, establishing a supportive relationship with families to address attendance concerns and provide guidance.

**Collaboration**: Work closely with educational teams and families, offering support and guidance to promote school attendance and address barriers to regular attendance.

**Support Development**: Contribute positively to the development and welfare of children and young people by offering guidance and support in improving attendance.

**Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of home visits, attendance details, and interactions with families, ensuring all relevant information is recorded appropriately and confidentially.

**Reporting**: Provide regular reports on attendance and welfare issues, highlighting areas for improvement and proposing effective strategies to address them.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Experience in a similar role or working with children and young people.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with families and educational teams effectively.
- Ability to work independently, managing own workload and conducting home visits efficiently.
- Sensitivity, empathy, and a genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people.

This role requires an individual with a valid UK driving licence, access to a vehicle with Business Insurance, and a commitment to promoting regular school attendance and the well-being of children and young people.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract

**Salary**: £14.31-£18.73 per hour

Expected hours: 37 per week
