Attendance Officer (Traded Support) Pay rate: £16.34ph PAYE / £21.42ph Umbrella Hours: 37 hours, Term time only. Working arrangements: Hybrid working Length: 3 months on-going, until March 2025 (Potential to March 2027) Essential Requirements: Car Essential with Business Insurance Enhanced DBS 2 Professional references The School Attendance Support Service works with schools in Walsall to monitor and enforce regular attendance. We work closely with families and schools to understand and address the reasons for absences and develop strategies for improving attendance. We are looking for motivated, dynamic and ambitious Attendance Officers, someone that has strong organisational and communication skills as well as being a good team player. Successful applicants will support, to work with schools and families, to ensure that children are receiving an education and achieving their potential. As part of the attendance team, applicants will need to have experience within an educational setting and have experience with supporting attendance. Applicants will be expected to work independently, within a statutory framework and a graduated system with a restorative approach. Successful applicants will work closely with pupils, staff, parents, and carers to reduce levels of absence.
