We have registered another fascinating vacancy with an impressive organisation, as Temporary Grants & Projects Officer, to start ASAP. Our client is extremely busy and requires additional support within their research department.

This is also a full-time role so you must be immediately available to work a full working week.

**Temporary Grants & Projects Officer Responsibilities**

Reporting to the Grants and Projects Manager, the main responsibilities of the Temporary Grants & Projects Officer will be to overlook a selected portfolio of research grants, ensuring that funds are securely managed. You will be using Excel with searchand grouping functions VLOOKUPs and Pivot Table to provide vital support to the team.

Other duties include:

- Checking the set-up of new projects for anomalies, advising in accordance with financial and administration regulations, and developing an expenditure forecast.
- Financial monitoring and reporting
- Assisting to close projects, ensuring expenditure has been utilized as effectively as possible
- Invoicing and auditing
- Other ad hoc administration as required

**Temporary Grants & Projects Officer Experience**
- Educated to GCSE or equivalent experiences
- Experience of administration in a research environment or similar
- Proven financial aptitude with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to produce clear and concise financial reports
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to convey financial matters in simple and understandable terms
- Good inter-personal skills, including the ability to develop effective and cooperative working relationships with academic and non-academic colleagues at all levels
- High level of IT skills including Excel
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritise work and produce consistent accurate, detailed work and meet deadlines

This role requires a strong knowledge of Excel, and experience of VLOOKUP and Pivot Table. AAT Qualification or experience working with Oracle Financials is desirable though not essential, and full training will be provided.

**Location**

Our client’s head office is based in Oxford City Centre (OX1). Due to this location, there is sadly no parking available onsite, but it is close to public transport links.

- This role is full time, starting at 8:30am, with 36.5 working hours per week
- You will be based in the office initially for training however this will be reduced to 3 days in the office once you have completed training.
