**About the Hotel**

Atrium Hotel Heathrow has a new and exciting opportunity for a dynamic Reception Team Member. Just one stop from Heathrow Airport, Atrium Hotel Heathrow is an urban retreat offering 570 ultra chic bedrooms with delectable culinary offerings through multiple Food & Beverage outlets, sizeable event spaces and exquisite wellness like swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and the fitness centre.

**About the role**

A **Reception Team Member**shall provide outstanding customer service whilst adhering to hotel standards. You will have knowledge of the hotel services and ensure that the guest journey during their stay with the hotel is smooth and guided by the correct information, services and help.

**The successful Reception Team Member will undertake the following duties**:

- Register guests and assigns rooms. Accommodates special requests whenever possible.
- Assists in pre-registration and blocking of rooms for reservations.
- Thoroughly understand and adhere to proper credit check
- cashing, and cash handling policies and procedures.
- Understand room status and room status tracking.
- Know room locations, types of rooms available, and room rates.
- Uses suggestive selling techniques to sell rooms and to promote other services of the hotel like breakfast, transportation bookings, dinner.
- Know the location and types of available rooms as well as the activities and services of the property.
- Coordinate with other departments in depending on the guest needs and room cleanliness needs.
- Possess a working knowledge of the reservations department. Take same day reservations and future reservations when necessary. Know cancellation procedures.
- Receive, screen all incoming phone calls and connect them to appropriate personnel.
- Sort out and hand over important packages, deliveries.
- Performing cashier related functions like posting charges to guest accounts, understanding if there is any outstanding balance and follow up to receive payment.
- Works closely with the housekeeping department in the keeping room status reports
- Uses proper telephone etiquette and greeting face to face etiquette.
- Advice guest of any messages, mail, faxes, etc. received for them.
- Inform guest of the room safe and mini-bar key and room key procedures.
- Issue parking passes/validate valet parking tickets.
- Communicate services and amenities of the hotel to guests.
- Read and initials the pass-on log and bulletin board daily. Is aware of daily activities and meetings taking place in the hotel.
- Handover before finishing the shift with the colleagues taking over the shift to ensure good communication and best guest service.
- Attend department meetings and updates and trainings.
- Reports any unusual occurrences or requests to the manager or assistant manager.
- Maintains the cleanliness and neatness of the front desk area.
- Able to handle leisure complex receptionist responsibilities in maintaining H&S and advising guests about H&S while they are using leisure complex facilities

**Skills and requirements**
- Exceptional customer care skills.
- Ability to work in a busy environment
- Knowledge of Local area - Heathrow / Hounslow
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with colleagues across the hotel
- Constantly improve knowledge and show a desire to learn, attend company’s trainings
- Take a responsible approach towards timekeeping and attendance to ensure the department runs efficiently, and assist in the event of absence cover
- Maintain high levels of enthusiasm and commitment to every task undertaken
- Good communication skills
- Proficiency in English Language is strongly preferred
- Opera PMS and Symphony system experience is preferable
- Previous experience in hotel environment is a requisite
