We are currently looking for an experienced SEMH teacher to join a pupil referral unit in Islington to provide outreach teaching.

**The Role**

In this role you will be teaching two year 7 pupils who are currently unable to attend the school setting. You will be providing tutoring at home in English, Maths and various other areas according their needs. You will work closely with staff in the mainPRU to plan and prepare learning and to provide assessments and feedback.

You will need to be approachable and patient and be able to build a strong rapport with the two students. You will be working closely with other staff and professionals. Experience in similar settings is preferable, along with a calm and resilient approach.

**The PRU**

The PRU works with Key Stage 1 - Key Stage 4 pupils who have been permanently excluded from mainstream settings. The centre allows pupils to refocus on their learning and offers specialist support to allow individual development according to each pupil'sneeds. Pupils have the chance to develop their skills in a place which fosters tolerance and confidence. The school is part of a small group of schools and as such all staff benefit from the shared learning and training throughout all sites to enable you tobecome an excellent SEMH practitioner. The school is easily accessible by bus and tube.

**Essential qualities**:

- QTS or
- Graduate with extensive experience working with children with SEMH / Behavioural needs
