We deliver around 1.3million loaves, every day of the week throughout the UK and Ireland, where we also make Mothers Pride and Ormo products.

At our Avonmouth, Bristol site we are looking to add to our highly skilled team of Operators Maintainers. Working under the direction of the Front line Manager and alongside team members you will contribute to an efficient, customer-focused, manufacturing process through the effective operation of plant, equipment and systems.

**Responsibilities include**:

- You will be responsible for operating the plant and process in a safe and compliant manner.
- Ensuring that documentation is completed accurately and promptly.
- You will follow instructions and procedures correctly.
- You will have pride in your work area, maintaining high standards of cleanliness by adopting “Clean as You Go” philosophy.
- You will have help with the delivery of the site’s KPI’s for Safety, Quality, Service and Cost.
- Being accountable for the production of high-quality products that are safe.
- You will positively contribute to the Short Interval Control and to the broader Project Gold Standard.
- You will proactively drive down waste by implementing our “see it, flag it, fix it ethos”.
- You will carry out robust daily plant start-up integrity check.
- You will be effectively communicating and liaising with all other departments within the site to achieve operational excellence.
- Initially, this role will consist of working in the packing end of the plant however alternative opportunities/duties may arise to work throughout the entire manufacturing process.

**To be successful in this role you will need to have**:
**Essential skills**:

- Basic numeracy and literacy skills, educated to at least 4 GCSE’s / NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
- Basic verbal & written communication skills to describe problems, causes and solutions
- Experience of working in a bakery
- Experience of a process environment
- Basic food hygiene qualification
- Strong basic problem-solving skills working within defined parameters
- Aptitude for basic mechanical & electrical tasks
- Basic keyboard skills and IT aptitude to input and access data
- Able to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern

**Desirable skills**:

- Plant baking qualifications
- Basic health & safety qualification
