This post was created as part of the re structure within the Housing department. As Allocations Officer you will be responsible for allocating the Council’s void properties as well as completing nominations to RSLs, in line with the allocations policy, procedures and legislation.
As Allocations Officer you will be required to manage the Council’s registers, carry out pre tenancy work, complete home visits, ensure nominations are completed appropriately and use your own decision making when allocating properties.
You will be the single point of contact for applicants on the Council’s housing register and responsible for communicating all aspects of the process to the service user and to process any concerns or enquiries.
You will report directly to the Allocations Team Leader and be required to support the Team Leader in delivering the services / projects in line with key corporate strategies.
