**DAYS**:

- Monday - Thursday: 7am - 3pm
- Friday: 5.30am - 12pm

**EVENINGS -**
- Monday - Thursday: 3pm - 11pm
- Friday: 12pm - 6.30pm

**NIGHTS -**
- Monday - Thursday: 11pm - 7am
- Friday: 11pm - 5.30am

**Rate of pay**:

- £13.35 per hour

**Job duties**:

- Operate a selection of manual and CNC based machinery for metal processing.
- Process steel to customers’ requirements and tolerances. Work within the company’s quality system to ensure the full traceability of customer orders.
- Able to work to high standards under your own initiative and pressure.
- Working as part of our team of operators, processing steel to order, as and when orders are generated.
- Loading, off Loading of plate and parts from the plasma machines
- Identify and locate different steel products using appropriate measuring equipment.
- Keeping machines and work areas clean and tidy
- Ensure you adhere to all current Health & Safety Legislation and Company Policy.
- Report any accidents and incidents to production Manager / Supervisor
- Report any machine faults / breakdowns to the production Supervisor or Manager
- Comply with all Company Quality policies and procedures.

**Requirements and skills**
- Proven work experience as a Press Operator or similar role
- Proficiency in operating heavy machinery.
- Ability to interpret and understand complex documents.
- Keen attention to detail
- Relevant training and/or certifications as a Press Operator

- Set up and operate CNC machines to fabricate parts according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders
- Use hand tools and measuring instruments to perform quality control checks on finished products
- Make adjustments to machine settings to ensure proper dimensions and tolerances
- Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain production efficiency
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and optimize production processes

**Skills**:

- Proficiency in operating CNC machines and understanding of machining principles
- Knowledge of basic math and ability to perform calculations for measurements and dimensions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and ability to use measuring instruments effectively
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders
- Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues
