**About the role** -Preparation of group statutory and tax consolidated financial information to support regulatory reporting requirements
- Preparation of statutory financial statements under IFRS and UK GAAP and preparation of interim statement under IFRS
- Preparation of financial models and analysis to support regulatory reporting and investor relations requirements
- Co-ordination and management of the external audit and interim review process with the Group’s external auditor
- Collaborate with Heads of Department and finance teams across the Group to ensure proper documentation of all significant financial reporting processes and controls, including preparation of written narratives, process flowcharts and control matrices
- Identify key controls and develop work programs for internal testing and periodic review of the design and operating effectiveness of key controls
- Prepare, maintain and update the Group’s accounting policy and procedures manual
- Evaluate and implement any required changes to financial reporting, business processes or systems arising from changes in accounting standards and prepare technical accounting papers in support of complex corporate or commercial transactions

**About you** -An appropriate financial or accounting qualification
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
- Experience of risk and financial control frameworks
- Evidence of building and maintaining strong relationships with key business stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills and a service orientated approach
- Ability to work hands-on, autonomously and as part of a team
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage conflicting demands
- Strong IT skills, including Excel
