**POSITION**: Team Leader (Residential Children’s Home)

**LOCATION**: Kent (And all surrounding areas)
**SALARY: £**31,160 per annum + a £1,000 welcome bonus once probation has been passed
**HOURS**: 40 Hours per week
**START DATE**: ASAP
**Children’s Home Team Leader Duties and Responsibilities include**:
- Lead shifts, have responsibility for decision making, and follow policies and procedures in line with current legislation.
- Manage and take direct responsibility for staff performance, training, and support
- Communicate clearly and effectively, both with colleagues and children, verbally and in writing
- Work in line with young people’s care plans and health plans
- Motivate, aid and guide children in their self-development
- Set appropriate examples for children at all times
- Listen and respond responsibly with sensitivity
- Undertake supervision of staff
- React calmly in stressful situations
- Maintain administrative records as required by the organisation
**Minimum requirements for this Children’s Home Team Leader position are**:
- Hold a Level 3 qualification in residential childcare
- Have two years of experience working in a Residential Children’s Home
- Leadership experience in residential childcare
- Experience working with young people with challenging behaviours

**Salary**: Up to £31,160.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Herne Bay: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Experience**:
- Residential childcare: 2 years (required)
- EBD: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
- Level 3 qualification in residential childcare (required)
