**Finance Manager, Ipswich £45-55K + bens**

MacKenzie King are delighted to be working with an award winning business in Ipswich in the recruitment of a Finance Manager. The role would suit someone looking to make their first move into industry or someone looking to take the next step into a managementposition.

Leading and developing a small team, this is a hands-on role will undertake all aspects of financial management including group transactional accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, coordination of auditing processes, as well as improvement of internalcontrol policies and procedures. The role is a senior position within the business reporting directly to the Head of Finance.

**Key Duties**:

- Work alongside and support the Head of Finance with financial matters as they arise
- Provide the Executive and Leadership team with advice and support on the financial implications of business activities and support planning initiatives through robust financial data, management information, analysis, reports and recommendations includingcollaboration with multiple stakeholders
- Ensure technical accounting requirements are met across the Group and are financially stress tested and challenge where appropriate and are integrated into the budgeting and forecasting process
- Ensure timely and accurate production of monthly and annual reporting alongside the Finance Analysis and Reporting Manager and centralised finance team.
- Responsible for co-ordinating, managing and producing the financial statements in preparation for Board review and approval
- Oversee and lead on the annual statutory audit including detailed supporting documentation, testing and production of relevant reports and evidence gathering
- Manage company tax matters including corporation tax, VAT and CIS
- Lead, empower, develop and mentor the team and provide support for all staff in keeping with the businesses values, policies and procedures and long-term objectives for the team
- Streamlining accounting functions and operations, developing and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls, ensuring that these are fit for purpose as the business grows.

To be successful in this role you will possess strong leadership qualities, have a hands on approach and be inquisitive by nature. As a ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified Accountant you will play a key role in a growing organisation that values its people and focuseson giving back and being sustainable.
