Programme Lead

Overall Job Purpose

Crucially, as the complexity of health and healthcare demand has grown, our Primary Care services has to evolve to better meet member need, deliver exceptional care outcomes and remain sustainable. This role will support the Primary Care team, to accelerate transformation of our service model and, ensure we achieve the right balance of physical and digital services with integrated member journeys. The role is responsible for integrating digital workflows, pathways and processes where appropriate into the member journey across Primary Care, including mental health and physiotherapy, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to implement and then optimise this. In addition, this role will lead the integrating of the voice of customer and customer feedback to develop new requirements and drive new features/functionality and innovation in Primary Care.

To support progression of key strategic projects including Integrated Primary Care, reporting into the Deputy Chief Medical Officer.

Accountabilities

**Integrated Primary Care (50%)**:
Proactively contribute to Primary Care service redesign, ensuring existing and new digital solutions are successfully implemented and benefits realised

Provide robust input into development and design teams on pathway design, ensuring all member journeys are as simple as possible, provide a good member experience and achieve excellent clinical outcomes for our members

Facilitate cross-department brainstorming to improve the quality of primary care platform, and ensure design is user-centric and easy to access and navigate

Contribute to daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint review and retrospectives

Lead seamless integration of primary care partners including mental health and physiotherapy

**General Primary Care (50%)**:
Lead the development of product, goals, performance, features, KPI’s holding accountability for the service on a day-to-day basis

Liaison with technical partners ensuring product integrity, and continuous review and testing cycles

Diagnose problems, and provide this information to the right point of contact in the business to drive towards quick resolution

Contribute to roadmap planning and coordination and delivery of Primary Care Strategy, activities and projects including platform innovation, alongside other members of the team

Provide expertise to support the development and delivery of excellent Primary Care services within Vitality’s comprehensive care offering, alongside the Deputy Chief Medical Officer and team, with a focus on integrated clinical, operational, governance and financial performance

Skills Required

Essential

Demonstrable interest or experience in one or more of the following, Primary Care, digital health, digital transformation, clinical care delivery

Comprehensive knowledge of primary care system set-up and how digital products can be implemented within them

Strong technical background and commercial acumen

Experience managing the whole lifecycle programme of system change either in a matrixed or corporate environment or high-growth health start-up

Can demonstrate strong and successful track record of cross-functional working ideally in a large, matrixed organisation, and evidence of ability to build and sustain effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders

Has proven understanding of UK digital health regulatory environment, clinical governance and audit processes and practices and quality measures in primary care

Experience with project or programme management

Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills

Desirable

At least 2 years Product Management experience or qualification, or hands-on experience in the digital health sector

UX experience

Knowledge of insurance sector or extensive PMI experience

Understanding of digital primary care or health technologies

Previous coaching experience or line management responsibility
