We are recruiting for a Investment Business Development Consultant within the Business Development department to play a direct part in helping AJ Bell achieve its new business targets and further grow its market share. The purpose of the IBDC role is tocreate new relationships and develop existing relationships with financial advisers to increase flows into the investment products we offer here at AJ Bell.
The IBDC role will involve:
- Engaging with adviser firms to help them understand the benefits of using the Managed Portfolio Service and multi-asset funds that AJ Bell offer
- Increasing flows into investment products on platform and with other providers
- Closing new business opportunities with new and existing financial adviser firms
- Identifying, developing and securing small to medium new business migrations
- Creating own leads through targeted proactive communication
- Dealing with high potential referrals provided by the Business Development team and through Marketing activities
- Running online and face-to-face meetings with advisers as required
- Liaising with national accounts and networks to identify whether there is tangible interest and potential
- Assisting the wider Business Development team with their investment knowledge
- Supporting the AJ Bell Investments team with Partnership firms
- Understanding all aspects of the AJ Bell Investcentre platform
Who would suit a IBDC role:
- Experience and proven success working proactively in an investment environment
- An understanding of investment platforms, investment propositions, financial advisers and their business practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience proactively building and maintaining customer relationships
- A track record of meeting deadlines and being well organised
- Proven self-motivation skills to generate workloads using own initiative and with mínimal supervision
- An enthusiasm to work in a target driven environment and take responsibility for increasing new business
- A desire to further your skills and knowledge by working towards professional qualifications, in particular relating to investments
- Full UK driving licence
