HEAD RECEPTIONIST

Swan at Shakespeare’s Globe is an exciting, dynamic company based on Bankside, operating a diverse and lively business, incorporating a busy restaurant, bars, high profile events, coffee shops and outside bars.

We are looking for an experienced, passionate and enthusiastic Head Receptionist to work with us. We are open all day serving modern British food from morning breakfast to evening cocktails and everything in between

**Key responsibilities**
- To be a notable presence, hosting the site in a welcoming and engaging way.
- To maintain the highest personal standard of presentation, dress and behaviour.
- To handle guest requests, enquiries and complaints effectively to improve the reputation of the venue.
- To be a dynamic, enthusiastic and well-presented member of the team.
- To have complete venue knowledge, including understanding the interface between the Swan and the Globe Theatre.
- To build a strong relationship with each department and Head of Department, to ensure the site runs smoothly.
- To be able to respond to guest feedback.
- Knowledge of OpenTable preferable.
- To positively communicate company policies, procedures and standards.
- To have full security awareness and the ability to handle difficult situations efficiently and appropriately.
- To monitor the atmosphere of the site, such as music and lighting levels, reacting as necessary.
- To continually improve guest relations, building relationships with key clients and regulars.
- To develop positive relationships with guests to increase regulars.
- To be able to collect and add information for guest profile.
- To have complete knowledge of the venue’s premises license, ensuring it is adhered to at all times.

The position is full time, it is permanent and available immediately. Right to work in UK is required, evening and weekend work is an essential part of the job.
