HR Generalist - Operational Excellence

What you will do
In this vital role you will make a direct impact to our employee experience at Amgen through the delivery of exceptional HR Operations support across the whole employee lifecycle.
- Own compensation and benefits (C&B) processing for UK&I including project work, reporting, management of benefit platform system and annual renewal window/processes. Implement new benefits/key changes working in partnership with C&B country lead, contributing to development of training/employee education. Manage external relationships (providers) with responsibility for contracts/Service Level Agreements (SLA)/payment processing.
- Day to day management of key processes such as Immigration, Right to Work, Audit support - ensures SLA’s are adhered to by external vendors - managing contract renewal process with designated suppliers
- Responds to enquiries in the HR Inbox, escalating as required
- Partners with Process Improvement Lead to identify and implement automated/simplified processes and test out new ways of working
- Onboards new hires, leveraging different channels (virtual, face 2 face etc.) to inform on key actions on benefits, policy/processes and HR programmes
- Ensures templates and employee communication materials are up to date and relevant across whole employee lifecycle
- Generates HR reports and carries out data analysis to support compliance and local reporting needs e.g., Gender Pay, Long Service etc.

This is a visible role working in a small and supportive team. You will work in close partnership with our HRBP’s, the wider HR team and leaders and colleagues across our UK&I organisation.
This role can offer flexible working options, we do like to collaborate face to face so a commitment to attend our Cambridge site for regular intentional meetings is required.

What we seek in you as an experienced professional, are these qualifications and skills:
With a flexible and service orientated approach, you will have; excellent written and communication skills, be able to deliver accurate and detailed work in a timely way, be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team and skilled at planning and prioritising your workload to successfully meet business needs. You will have:
- Solid HR work experience
- Working knowledge of employee benefits processing, policy development, HR legislation, communication skills
- Sound project management/agile working skills
- Fluency in English, both in oral and written communication
- Sound Excel skills
- Powerpoint/digital and confident presentation skills
- HR System experience, ideally Workday
Preferred Requirements
- Post-Graduate HR qualification
- Experience of working in a matrix/global organization
- Up to date and relevant HR best practices/external network
