Junior Designer

A fantastic opportunity is available for a Junior Interior Designer to join an exciting and progressive business. We are a growing design, build and reactive maintenance company specialising in the hospitality and leisure sectors and we need someone to work as part of our award-winning Design department at our head office in Doncaster.

**The main duties and responsibilities will include**:

- Attending project briefing meetings to assist with gaining relevant information to take the project forward, including completing company standard documentation.
- Meeting with external representatives to see new products and materials and feeding information back to the wider design team.
- Assisting with the preparation of concepts, mood boards, preliminary and final designs, and development of detailed design pack, including the procurement materials and products suitable for commercial use.
- Produce presentations and visuals using Indesign & Photoshop (or similar)
- Produce F, F & E schedules using excel (or similar) and manage procurement of products.
- Site visits to assist at meetings or carry out surveys as required by line manager.
- Work efficiently to tight deadlines and manage your own time effectively, reporting back to line manager.
- Gain experience in dealing with clients, contractors and other suppliers in a highly professional manner.
- Regular updates on project portal, ensuring key project information is correct
- Complete timesheets weekly & expenses monthly
- Complete designers Risk assessments as required

**The m**ain skills and expertise**:

- Creativity is key
- Good knowledge of Microsoft office suite, specifically Word & Excel.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail - verbal & written
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD, and Photoshop, would be beneficial
- Educated to degree level, ideally with a design-based course i.e. Interior Design
- Full UK Driving Licence.

This a permanent contract working 37.5 hours and our core hours are 8.30am - 5pm, Monday - Friday. The salary for this position is up to £24,000 per annum dependant on experience.
