We now have an opportunity available for **Support Workers**to join our** service in Walthamstow, London,**rated Good by CQC**.**These are **permanent roles, working 15 hours per week.**The shift pattern varies and includes alternate weekends and sleep ins.
Castleton Road is a lovely, well-established home to six adults in the the borough of Waltham Forest. We support people with sensory impairments and Learning Disabilities to enjoy independent lives by engaging them in daily activities and supporting them to go for holidays. The duties are varied and no two days will be the same.
**The people we support are individuals and they are all treated as such.** As a general guide, you may support with personal care needs, as well as help to take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support their health and wellbeing. The team has particular expertise in supporting people with learning difficulties and multi-sensory impairments to maximise their potential.** People we support are enabled to access varied indoor and outdoor activities like Rock climbing, swimming, Horse riding, cycling and trampolining**.

- Able to support the people we support in daily activities, holidays and medical appointments.
- Experience using non-verbal and assistive communication methods is desirable for this role.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work and able to cover a range of shifts (day/night).
- Willing to attend training as needed to support you in your role.
**No two days will be the same**:
**This role in Walthamstow might include supporting people with**:
- Everyday tasks like cooking and cleaning.
- Personal care and hygiene.
- Finances.
- Medication and wellbeing.
- Working.
- Going into the community for shopping or other trips.
- Their social life and nightlife.
Everyone we support is an individual, so their care is as unique as they are. You can see a more detailed description of duties in the job description attached at the bottom of this advert.
Please note, **this role may include regular sleep-in shifts.**(This means sleeping over at the residence, with the possibility you might have to wake up to provide care in the night.)
