Finance Assistant

A Finance assistant role, working within a small and close-knit team within a well-known education organisation. Supporting the business manager and the wider team with the day-to-day running of financial operations and general finance enquiries.
**Client Details**
The client is an established education organisation that prides itself on its success, popular and high-achieving students and staff. They are located in the heart of York with great transportation links and on-site free parking.
**Description**
The Finance Assistant's key responsibilities include but are not limited to;
- Preparing BACS payment runs, writing cheques
- Management of petty cash and staff expenses
- Collection of income and fees
- Assist the Business Manager with the production of financial information for the organisation's budget, annual audit, and other financial projects as required.
- Requisitioning orders
- Processing GRNs, Creditor Invoice Payments
**Profile**
The successful Finance Assistant will have;
- Experience of using IT software including Microsoft office (word and excel)
- To be flexible and versatile
- To be able to demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
- Experience working within finance
- Have high attention to detail and ability to work within strict deadlines
