Credit Controller

IPL Hull was built in the millennium year and there are employees working today who witnessed the first brick being laid Our Hull location is an experienced leader in the injection and blow moulding industry housing state of the art blow moulding machines and a modern fleet of injection moulding machines. IPL Hull takes initiative on providing eco-friendly solutions and pride themselves on delivering products specifically tailored to their customers' needs. Key products include the “One Nest” stacking crate, jerry cans, Water Butt, composter, kerbside boxes, food waste containers and nestable bale arm trays.

A vacancy has a arisen for a motivated, adaptable and professional **Credit Controller** to join the team based from our site in Hull (HU9).

This is a key position reporting into the Accounts Receivable Manager for Europe within a newly established function where you can share your knowledge and experience with both your team on site and your counterparts across the UK & Europe.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Strategically manage AR accounts from setting up new customers to proactively managing queries through to resolution
- Setting up new customer accounts and assessing risk in order to set credit limits and payment terms, ensuring that credit insurance requirements are met
- Maintain a clean ledger, minimise overdue debt, and maximise cash receipts through collection and allocation of incoming payments
- Proactively chase overdue/Aged Debtors for around 400 accounts
- Establish and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and your customer-base to ensure prompt payment and efficient query resolution
- Work efficiently and effectively within the centralised AR function, as well as within your site based team
- Reporting of your ledger to the management team
- Partner with Customer Service to manage accounts
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions
- Support on annual audits

**About You**

Ideally, you will have experience from working within credit control, preferably gained from a fast-paced environment.

You will have an excellent standard of IT literacy with advanced Excel skills to ensure accurate report manipulation and KPI tracking.

You will be proficient in the use of ERP systems and will be familiar with data entry and analysis.

You will have excellent attention to detail and will be able to plan and prioritise your workload across various demands on a given day.

Notwithstanding your skills and experience to date, you will be able to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders and customers with a confident and professional manner.
