Sheridan Maine are recruiting an urgent brand new role of Senior Development Finance Business Partner. This excellent opportunity which would suit an experienced Accountant who is looking for a broad mix of reporting and commercial finance.
Reporting to the Finance Director and working with the Development Finance team, you will have significant experience in complex business planning and housing development with an excellent grasp of financial models, systems, and planning tools.You will playan integral role in the current development plans of a leading organisation based across the South of England.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to have real flexibilitywith their working day and be a part of a dynamic team and working in a positive working environment. This role is predominantly working from home with a couple of days every fortnightworking from their Central London offices.
Accountabilities of the Senior Development Finance Business Partner will include:

- Business Partnering Development Manager on a portfolio of developments
- Help formulate, assess, and deliver across the developments and ensure that they are accurately appraised
- Support the delivery of the finance team plan and contribute to the budget and forecasting process
- Reporting and management of cashflow forecasts for internal and external reporting
- Provision of tax and accounting input into development schemes
- Develop and monitor financial procedures and policies to ensure that information is delivered to tight deadlines
- Liaising with auditors during the year end audit process

About you:

- You’ll be a tenacious, articulate, and professional individual
- Have strong experience in development accounting to ensure that all items are correctly reported and monitored and that forecasts are updated regularly for expected outcomes
- Able to provide financial support and analysis and to inform decision making processes
- Able to work to strict deadlines
- A self-starter with strong communication skills and the ability to influence others

Areas of Experience and Qualifications:

- Qualified CIMA, ACCA, ACA Accountant or Equivalent
- Strong all round IT skills, with expert Excel, knowledge of financial planning tools and
- development appraisal systems (e.g. Brix/PodPlan/Proval)
- Experienced with development, construction environments
- Excellent business partnering and management reporting skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong project management skills, with drive and energy
- Ability to independently problem solve manage a range of projects through to their resolution
