**Job description**:

We are looking for compassionate and committed Healthcare Assistants who are passionate about delivering the highest quality one-to-one care for our service user building positive relationships with them and their family while enabling them to live as independently as possible in their own home.

**Meet our service user**

Our service user is an adult male in his 50’s, who lives at home with his loving family in York. He requires support on a 1:1 basis throughout the day and night to support his complex care needs.

His family are very important to him and loves to spend quality time with his wife and children.

He is an enthusiastic outdoor person who has access to a specialised wheelchair designed for outdoor adventures. Charity work is also a big interest for him, and he regularly pushes himself to the limit to raise money for the Motor Neurones Society.

Throughout the night you will provide support with his personal care, moving and handling and attending to his clinical care needs when required. You will make close observations and provide a peaceful environment to promote a restful night’s sleep.

Our ideal applicants will have a cheerful personality, whilst being confident, friendly, and understanding with a genuine interest in working with our service user to build a positive relationship with him and his family.

**Our service user has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team.**

**Essential Experience Required** *
- 3 months previous care experience
- Personal Care
- Moving and Handling
- Medication Administration
- Pet Friendly

**Desirable Experience**
- Knowledge of Motor Neurone Disease
- Ventilation Management
- Enteral Feeding
- Oral Suctioning
- Cough Assist

**We have the following shifts available;**
- Part Time Days & Nights
- 2 shifts per week
- 9am - 5pm
- 9pm-9am
- Must be flexible to work days & nights

**Take a look at our pay rates**

Weekdays: £15.00 per hour (Approx. £120 per 8-hour shift)

Weeknights: £15.50 per hour (Approx. £186 per 12-hour shift)

Bank Holiday £20.00 per hour (Approx. £240 per 12-hour shift)
