Our client care team should create a first-class impression of our business, remaining calm, courteous, and professional at all times. Our client care team should make a positive impression and make clients feel confident in our service as a whole and help to put them at ease if they are worried or apprehensive.

This position requires recognition of providing excellent client care; considerable organisational skills and attention to detail; accuracy in transcribing information/messages and a practical knowledge of the standard procedures, veterinary records and terminology used in the hospital. The ability to self-prioritise daily workload to adhere to deadlines. This role reports directly to the Client Care Manager.
- To be efficient, pleasant, courteous, polite, concerned, and helpful at all times.
- Accurate registration of clients and pets on practice management system.
- Ensure information packs are send to clients, advising on payment policy and assisting with paperwork.
- Answer the phone promptly and courteously.
- Liaise with referring vets and hospital specialists to ensure appointments are provided within an acceptable timescale.
- Keep reception and the waiting room area tidy and well organised.
- Diary management for multidiscipline services - including urgent/emergency appointments
- To take, record and pass on messages accurately within an appropriate timescale.
- To process payments/deposits/refunds accurately and efficiently and allocate the client’s record on the practice management system.
- Accurate processing of client’s pet insurance claims in a timely manner

Hours: 4 hours per day Mon - Fri (shifts - 12.30 - 4.30pm & 4.15pm - 8.15pm) additional Saturday shift on rota basis (8am - 12pm)

**Salary**: £21,000 (pro rata)

**About us**

Veterinary Specialists, Scotland is a newly established and rapidly expanding, purpose-built, multi-disciplinary referral centre in the heart of Scotland. Based in Livingston, just 20 minutes away from Edinburgh, 40 minutes from Glasgow and 15 minutes from the Edinburgh International Airport, it allows for easy access to cities, or for an escape to the hills and sea.

Since opening in October 2020, we have expanded from 8 to 17 specialists and residency-trained clinicians across seven clinical disciplines. Our building has huge potential for expansion and the clinic is still an exciting work in progress. This is an exciting opportunity to help to establish a new service and to drive its development.

**Salary**: £21,000.00 per year
