Material Handler

As a Millennium Engineering Material Handler, you play a pivotal role in the day to day operations and efficiencies of the business. Your responsibilities and objectives as a Material Handler have been outlined below:
**Responsibilities**:

- Program, set and operate various machines within Millennium Engineering to produce equipment in accordance with the required quality standards and inspection demands. (all training provided)
- Unload / load steel deliveries using counterbalance truck (forklift truck). Also load this material into automatic bandsaw.
- Maintain cleanliness and carry out daily maintenance tasks on relevant machines. Mostly the automatic bandsaws and swaging / press machinery.
- Daily picking and packing tasks, boxes / pallet varying from day to day.
- Ensure that all production orders are completed in accordance with requirements as defined in the work orders provided;
- Assist where required, other team members within Millennium Engineering;
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment, reporting any accidents, near misses or safety concerns to your Line Manager or their superior;
- Use all Millennium Engineering machinery, machinery tools and hand tools/equipment safely and respectfully, reporting any defects, losses or safety concerns to your Line Manager or their superior immediately. All Millennium Engineering employees have a responsibility to manage risk within their sphere of responsibility. It is a statutory duty to take reasonable care of your own safety and the safety of others who may be affected by acts or omissions;
- Adhere to all policies, procedures and relevant work instructions/risk assessments;
- Promote and maintain good housekeeping standards in all areas of Millennium Engineering;
- Use and maintain appropriately all personal protective equipment supplied to employees by Millennium Engineering;
- Other duties as requested by your Line Manager or their superior.

**Objectives**:

- Understanding of Engineering Drawings (training provided)
- Learn to operate bandsaws / swaging machines / press etc (training provided)
- To continuously to provide raw material prepped for the cnc machines
- Picking and packing and wrapping daily taks
- Driving tasks - depending on license availability
- Daily maintenance of machines.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £12.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Warehouse experience: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift/counterbalance Licence (required)
