**About us**

Boys & Boden Ltd, is a leading multi-sited independent builders merchants, committed to quality products and outstanding customer service.

A vacancy has arisen for an experienced flexible Yard Assistant to join the team at our Chester Flagship Building Merchants branch working Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Minimum 24 hours per week.

Additional hours in the week may be available to cover staff absence.

**Responsibilities and Duties**

Serving customers.

Accurately picking and checking orders.

Storing stock safely.

Maintaining a tidy and safe working environment.

Timber cutting.

Checking incoming goods against supplier’s delivery note.

Providing excellent customer service.

**Qualifications and Skills**

A Counterbalance Forklift licence would be advantageous however training will be given.

Building material industry knowledge essential.

Builders merchant industry knowledge preferable but not essential.

Good communication skills.

A knowledge of good practice relating to Health and Safety Regulations.

Methodical and organised and able to work on own initiative.

Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions.

Good standard of literacy and numeracy.

You will be working within a small team dealing with our customer’s needs, therefore we are looking for someone that has the following attributes;

Outstanding attention to detail.

Motivated, energetic and passionate about your work.

Working hours are Friday 7.00am to 5.00pm, Saturday 7.30am to 4.00pm, Sunday 10.00am to 4.00pm and occasional week days if available.
