**IT Service Analyst**

My client, a nationally recognised business, who have won multiple awards for being one of the best places to work in UK, is looking for a driven IT Service Analyst to join their growing IT team.

As a IT Service Analyst, the main purpose of the role is to technically review and analyse proposed changes to the IT estate and interpret the potential impact on systems across the organisation and their resiliency.

There will be a blended approach to home / office working at my client's head office in the West Midlands.

Key Responsibilities:

- Technical analysis of change data to identify quality, scheduling or technical challenges and to assess any potential indirect impact to other systems/services/processes and escalate appropriately.
- Work with other stakeholders to answer queries in order to assess the viability of changes, working with Architects, Project Managers and other SMEs
- Technically assess changes to identify impacts on IT Ops functions (resiliency, asset, capacity, monitoring) of IT services and escalate to the appropriate IT resources to avoid unnecessary downtime or risk
- Support and coach colleagues to raise awareness of change processes to improve IT change quality
- Create, review and administer the change process documentation and make recommendations for service improvements into Service Improvement Plan
- Administer IT change approval requests and maintain a consolidated database of activity
- Work closely with the Change Management team to support and influence the change process and suggest service improvements whilst ensuring timely and accurate approval of changes

Key Skills and Experience required:

- Experience in a similar IT Service Analyst or Infrastructure Support type role
- Proven experience in a busy customer focused IT environment.
- Experience of managing and prioritising multiple requests across different environments to support different Business / Releases / Projects requirements.
- Good telephone manner and written communication skills with proven ability in customer service and influencing techniques
- Experience of working in a team where attention to detail is critical.
- Ability to assess the bigger picture and challenge assumptions made by others.
- A relevant qualification e.g. ITIL would be advantageous but is not essential.
