Farnborough International is looking to continue its long-standing development tradition to offer a work placement opportunity in our Event Management Team This is a great opportunity to take a year out of your course to complete a year in industry.

This is an exciting time to join the events team at Farnborough International as you will have the opportunity to play an important role in the organisation and deliver of the 2026 Farnborough Airshow

**What Will you be doing?**
- Ownership of key projects such as venue digital signage and maintaining the site inventory.
- Create key briefing documents for the Event Managers.
- Create welcome packs for clients and organisers, placing orders for bespoke items where required and managing the budget across the financial cycle.
- Support the Event Duty Managers during the operational periods of events in Hall 1 and Hall 5 taking on ad hoc projects as assigned.
- Attend client site visits and planning meetings to understand the different event requirements.
- Proactively establish and maintain effective internal and external working relationships with all departments, supply partners and external suppliers.
- Recommend and implement improvements that will help to grow our business further.

You will need to be a 3rd year student looking for a year in industry

You will need to be coming from a relevant degree course:

- Event Management
- Hospitality Management
- Leisure
- Tourism

You will also need a full driving licence with your own transport.

Other than that, we are looking for a good communicator who is able to think on your feet, and comfortable under pressure.

Although this is mainly a Monday to Friday role, you will need to be happy and comfortable working evenings and weekends, particularly around events.
