**Purpose of the post**:
To support with the continued efficient, cost-effective, safe and environmentally considerate maintenance of the Waste Treatment Plant and mobile plant through technical expertise through an efficient planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedule and continuous improvement regime.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Supervision of the maintenance and cleaning team on nights.
- To co-ordinate all planned maintenance activities for the fixed plant.
- To give direction to and be the first point of contact for maintenance and cleaning staff.
- To ensure effective, efficient and safe use of resources.
- Ensuring parts and stock removal is recorded.
- Working with the Maintenance Manager to ensure PPM’s and cleaning regimes are completed each night.
- To develop ways of measuring and improving maintenance activities for continuous improvement.
- To mentor the nightshift team and develop their skill base.
- Issue and monitor permits/risk assessments/safe systems of work.
- Working effectively and safely with external contractors.
- Raise issues with staff as they arise in line with HR policies.
- Liaise with the Maintenance Manager and HR Manager regarding staff issues and HR matters as applicable.
- Conduct health and safety investigations as required.
- Monitoring the area standards and cleanliness.
- Participate in building and maintaining a strong health and safety culture within the organisation and people.
- Attend training and develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills as required.
- Adhere to Company policies and procedures at all times in particular the Company’s Health and Safety policy.

- Mechanical process knowledge (essential).
- Knowledge of industrial process plant operation (essential).
- Planned preventative maintenance knowledge and management (essential).
- Experience of issuing of permit to work and risk assessments (essential).
- Leadership skills (essential).
- Good standard of literacy and numeracy (essential).
- Good organisational time management skills (essential).
- Good verbal and written skills - able to communicate at all levels (essential).

Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
