**Space Partnership Events Coordinator**
Fixed-term Contract to 31 March 2025
**Purpose**:
The Satellite Applications Catapult (the Catapult) is recruiting an Events Coordinator on behalf of the Space Partnership. The Space Partnership brings industry, academia and government together to agree shared priorities and identify collective action to deliver the ambition in the National Space Strategy. The Space Partnership is a small team working across the UK space sector to bring the wealth of knowledge and expertise available to produce insights and information for the Space Partnership Board. **Please note**:
- ** This role is Harwell based and you will be expected to be in the Harwell office at least one day a week, with regular travel across the UK for face-to-face meetings and events.**
- ** This is a full-time, fixed-term contract to 31 March 2025, which may be extended if future funding for the Space Partnership is secured.**
**Ways of Working**:
The role reports into the Space Partnership Director, but you will also be part of the National Space Capabilities and Clusters (NCC) Team, which is taking the lead on creating a thriving and collaborative UK Space Ecosystem. As part of the Catapult, you will be part of a learning organisation where our ways of working are underpinned by coaching and feedback, fostering adult to adult conversations. **Key responsibilities**:
The Space Partnership Events Coordinator will work closely with our Space Partnership Director to coordinate events that bring representatives from across the UK space sector together to inform Space Partnership projects. You will take an event from early-stage idea to delivery through to summarising the output. This will include:
- Organising Space Partnership meetings, workshops and events: This will involve securing dates, identifying and arranging venues, booking travel and ordering refreshments. You will be responsible for advertising the event, sending out agendas and instructions in good time, preparing slides (MS PowerPoint), supporting on the day, capturing the outputs, sharing event summaries with attendees and ensuring that the contribution from attendees is accurately captured. For virtual events you will take a leading role in coordinating the online meetings with breakout rooms and monitoring the Q&A (MS Teams).
- Coordinating Space Partnership attendance at events and conferences: This will involve maintaining a list of events and supporting the different types of attendance, from arranging conference tickets and associated travel, to arranging a Space Partnership stand at a conference. You will raise purchase orders, liaise with graphic design teams for materials and represent the Space Partnership at events.
- Maintaining accurate reporting metrics: You will be responsible for accurately collating a range of engagement metrics and reporting them to the Space Partnership Board on a quarterly basis. Metrics include: recording the number of people and organisations that contribute to Space Partnership workshops; how many people we engage with at conferences; and the readership of the Space Partnership newsletter.
