This role is office based where you will play a pivotal role in import and export. Your enthusiasm and willing to learn will make you an important addition to the team and support for the Senior Operations team. Your focus will be to execute accurate customsdocuments and supportive documents to remain fully compliant with Customs & Compliance requirements.
**Your key responsibilities **(including but not limited to)**:

- Check Import Customs documents and supportive documents (from international suppliers) for accuracy and ensure that they are corrected in case of errors.
- Complete Import processes using customs company system, such as:

- Daily checks (familiar with warehouse removals and Import declarations).
- Bonded receipts and oversee Bonded warehouse activities ensuring the data is completed correctly within set time frames.
- Run Import invoicing and stock reconciliation between inventory and customs systems
- Plan and process import shipments - when required - using freight providers and couriers.
- Request transport quotes.
- Plan and process Export shipments using freight providers and couriers.
- Provide export clearance instructions.
- Request transport quotes
- Create shipping invoices.
- Chase up for updates on shipments, obtain POD's, etc.
- Pre-costing, check and approval of freight invoices.
- Export customs compliance - request and check proof of export supporting documents.
**Your core skills**:

- Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely to individuals, adapting communication style, amount and format based upon the level of seniority and/or understanding of the audience.
- Good organisational skills and able to manage a range of varying tasks across a wide client base with excellent attention to detail.
- To be a team player who is flexible with the ability for maintaining focus on achieving the required objectives and to show resilience and take personal accountability.
- Good level of IT literacy, Microsoft Office (Power Point, Excel, Word, Outlook), SAP knowledge an advantage. Ability to learn different IT packages as required including bespoke inhouse systems.
