**About the Apprenticeship**:
We are excited to offer a comprehensive Level 3 Personal Trainer apprenticeship role that encompasses a journey of professional development. This is delivered and funded by The Vocational Academy Essex. (Government funded apprenticeship provider) along with us at NEW BODY GYM LOWESTOFT.

As a Personal Trainer Apprentice, you will undergo a series of structured learning stages, each designed to build your skills and qualifications to a high level within fitness and customer service.

**Stage 1: Level 2 Gym Instructor (Active IQ) (* If you are not already Level 2 Qualified)**
- **Course Overview**: You will kick-start your apprenticeship with a Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification under Active IQ's guidelines. This stage will equip you with foundational skills to instruct and supervise gym-based exercise.
- You will also commence the TEAM LEADER SUPERVISOR qualification.

**Key Focus Areas**:

- Understanding the principles of exercise and fitness.
- Anatomy and Physiology.
- Designing and conducting gym-based workout plan.
- Adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Client communication and motivation.

**Stage 2: Level 3 Personal Trainer (PT)**
- **Course Overview**: Upon completion of Stage 1, you will progress to the Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification, focusing on advanced techniques and personalised client training.
- **Key Focus Areas**:

- In-depth understanding of human anatomy and nutrition.

Developing personalized fitness programs.
Techniques for weight management and body transformation.
Professional development and business acumen within the fitness industry.

**Team Leader supervisor Level 3 Qualification (Throughout the Apprenticeship)**
- **For This role you will be**:

**More detail**:
You will start with your training towards the Gym Instructing qualification (accredited by Active IQ and recognised by CIMSPA), at the same time as attending as an assistant gym instructor/general duties at easyGym Basildon Essex (Employer)

You will also have a range of opportunities throughout your apprenticeship to gain a variety of additional qualifications, such as kettlebells, spin, suspension trainers, exercise referral, sports massage, strength and conditioning, low back pain management and more.

**Duties**:
**Reception**:

- Deal with new member queries and sell memberships where required
- Answer the telephone where required
- Gym administration duties, such as adding new members
- Book appointments for inductions and assist with inductions
- Additional admin and cleaning/equipment maintenance duties where required

**Gym Floor Duties**:
Whilst performing gym instructor duties (once qualified), you are required to competently carry out the following duties:

- Carry out inductions for new members with existing qualified team members.
- Maintain good member relations and deal with any issues professionally.
- Clean and maintain the equipment - carry out basic maintenance checks where required and report any issues to management.
- Conduct regular cleaning duties to ensure hygiene and compliance with any Government guidelines at the time - you will be required to assist the whole team in cleaning every area of the gym, including equipment to help maintain safety for all.
- Promote the Gym in a professional manner and in line with (Ab Salute) policies.
