Electrical Estimator

**Full Time or Part Time role available**

**Job Overview**
Electrical Estimator for projects up to £200k.

Projects consist of quoted and tendered works in the Railway, Industrial and Port sector.

Project vary in scope requirements from full issue design drawings to a blank canvas which needs a preliminary design to meet the customers requirements.

Works are predominantly power and lighting with some controls.

We are electrical biased however scopes will cover some civils/building/HVAC works which you would be expected to encompass.

Report to: Operations Manager

**Role Objectives**:

- Manage and lead the successful estimation of quotation and tender opportunities to delivery value added solutions to our existing customers.
- Self-motivated and work well under pressure, where communication and time management skills are paramount.
- Estimator would be expected to support PQQ and ITT bids for large packages of works.
- Drive efficiencies throughout the business and contribute to achieving 1% marginal gains on a daily basis.
- Lead comprehensive client communication in all formats to ensure they are informed and in control, but not troubled through the pre-construction, construction and post construction phases for commercial aspects.
- Demonstrate innovation and value engineering opportunities for client solutions.
- Good understanding of business development and the bid market place.
- Develop systems and procedures including IT to develop the estimating department.
- Display a continual commitment to achieving a quality service delivery in a timely manner and take ownership of commercial challenges which may arise in the best interests of the company and customer.
- Identify business opportunities to increase work scope and volume with new and existing customers.

**Role Responsibilities**
- Undertake and own tasks required to facilitate the day to day operations of the business.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships.
- Identify and understand customer requirements to ensure accurate and compliant bid proposals are submitted.
- Communicate with customers, suppliers and subcontractors to facilitate the delivery of the project.
- Take ownership of the bid stage to continually improve the win rate whilst maintaining margin.
- Review project specifications and designs to ensure compliance and add value where possible.
- Maintain knowledge of current and previous project examples to support bids for new works.
- Provide clients with appropriate company information relating to the work activities being performed.
- Procure materials, supplies and equipment required for the business whilst striving for best value.
- Operate with honesty and integrity for the best interest of the company in line with the Directors requirements.

**Skills & Experience**
- Proven track record of winning profitable work
- Minimum 5 years Estimator or QS experience desirable
- Trade Skill Qualified (Preferably L3 Electrical Installations)
- Construction Industry Experience
- Tender/Bid Management Experience
- Valid UK Driving Licence

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £41,600.00-£45,000.00 per year
