The job will be a minimum of 37.5 hours, 5 days per week, spread over Mon-Sat (we are closed Sundays and Bank Holidays)

The job is a varied role within our 2 storey Coffee House on Fleming Square (there are stairs so it will keep you fit)

**Food Kitchen Duties**
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area and end of day cleaning.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure high standards of hygiene.
- Making sandwiches, toasties, jacket potatoes and other meals.
- Manage time effectively to ensure tasks are completed promptly during busy periods.
- Assist with stock management, including receiving deliveries and storing supplies.
- Building up to eventually cover the chef's day off.

**Barista Duties**
- Creating a welcoming atmosphere, taking customer orders, and offering recommendations.
- Preparing drinks on our La Cimbali Espresso machine.
- Grinding coffee beans into cafetieres.
- Cleaning tables, maintain cleanliness of work areas, coffee machines & equipment and end of day cleaning.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Weighing coffee beans and loose tea in the front of the shop.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain the friendly work environment.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in food preparation or as a barista would be preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
- Good time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced, friendly & dynamic environment.
- Have a passion for coffee, tea & food or a willingness to learn
- Someone who is punctual, reliable, self motivated and works well in a small team and will happily use a mop

**Summary**

Pay: £10.00-£12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 37.5 per week
