The Service
Public Health Services comprises 38 members of staff working within Specialist Stop Smoking Service, Health Improvement and Health Trainer teams who are responsible for delivering services and influencing parts of the system to improve the health of our residentsin Northumberland.
We are seeking to recruit an Admin Assistant to work with the team and support the delivery of the Specialist Stop Smoking service. This exciting opportunity will provide a comprehensive admin service including dealing with client referrals into the service,maintaining databases and datasets, use SystmOne, typing and general office duties. Other duties will include;
Admin cover for other areas of the service such as public health manager, health promotion, starting well, stop smoking services, health trainers, ageing well, better health at work award.
Support public health campaigns, conferences, training courses and events run by the team.
Order resources and arrange travel.
This is a fantastic opportunity to use your administrative skills and join a friendly team. The successful applicant will have previous knowledge and experience of a range of admin procedures, knowledge of MS office programmes such as MS Word and Excel acquiredthrough relevant qualifications acquired through relevant qualifications or experience.
We require a good team player who is flexible and adaptable with a high level of communication skills (both verbal and written), time management with assessment and analytical and interpersonal skills.
The post holder may be asked to travel across the geographical area of Northumberland County Council.
