Property Accountant/service Charge Accountant

This role with KSA Property will suit a part-qualified accountant who is looking to make a step into a more senior role with increasing responsibilities.

The organisation offers study support, hybrid working (eg. 3 days in the office) and a competitive salary based on experience and capabilities.

**General Accounting Function**:

- Xero bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Quarterly VAT Returns for multiple entities.
- Quarterly billing of client fees.
- Preparation of Year End accounts for multiple entities. Liaising with auditors on any queries.
- Assisting with Payroll preparation.
- Updating cash flow forecast.

**Property Accounting Function**:

- Client specific bank reconciliations. Chasing tenants for remittances if necessary.
- Monitoring suspense ledger and resolving outstanding items.
- Reconciling tenant accounts.
- Liaising with property team to facilitate payment run to suppliers.
- Monitoring cash position of various rent and service charge ledgers.
- Arrears monitoring and debt collection.
- Issuing yearly insurance invoices to tenants.
- Assisting with onboarding new tenants to property management system.
- Recharging company credit card charges for site staff.
- Liaising with external auditors for specific clients
- Assisting in preparation of completion statements on sold assets.
- Preparation of cash reconciliations for sold assets.

**Reporting (Monthly)**:

- Tenant arrears and commentary.
- Preparation of bespoke reporting and journals for specific clients.
- Payment disbursements for rent.
- Updating float balances.
- Attending teams or in person client meetings with the property team to answer queries.
- Running fee collection reports.

**Service Charge Year End Reconciliations**:

- Analysing expenditure and income.
- Accruals and prepayments.
- Balancing charges.
- Calculating service charge caps.
- Liaising with auditors to resolve queries.
- Distribution of finalised accounts to tenants and landlords.
