**Overview**:
Family First Fostering are looking to recruit a panel administrator to support the fostering service.

This role will include a number of tasks, such as assimilating relevant material from documents and reports in order to produce accurate and detailed records, creating panel agenda’s, and accurately minuting foster panel discussions and decisions.

The postholder will also have to ensure the annual review process takes place accordingly and all post panel reports and documents are completed.

**Key responsibilities and duties**:

- To provide the fostering service with administrative support to ensure the panel process takes place according to the legislative requirements
- To work alongside the Panel Advisor and Panel chair to effectively manage the panel process, in order to ensure the service safeguards and promotes the welfare of children and young people
- To coordinate and arrange panel meetings by working with the Panel Advisor and Panel chair to create a Panel Agenda, invite panel members and ensure all paperwork is circulated prior to panel meetings
- To collate Panel Member’s feedback, questions, etc, prior to each Panel meeting, and submit this information to the Panel Chair with sufficient time.
- To minute and accurately record discussions within Panel Meetings, which contributed to the decision making process
- To ensure any Panel/ADM decisions are recorded accurately, and clear and concise minutes are produced within statutory timescales
- To ensure the annual review process takes place prior to panel meetings by circulating documents to Social Workers, Foster carers and other relevant professionals / individuals and ensure reports are returned within the required timescales.
- To arrange Foster carer’s annual review meetings with the Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) and ensure all reports and documents are shared with relevant professionals within required timescales.
- To be competent in the use of IT systems and ensure all paperwork is uploaded to CHARMS (online database) ahead of panel.
- To support the service / business development by obtaining feedback from Panel attendees, and ensuring that approval letters and ADM documents are uploaded to foster carer’s files in a timely manner
- To work with management to schedule annual reviews for the upcoming years to ensure that foster carer’s approval with the agency does not lapse
- To work with the social work and management team, to ensure the necessary statutory checks have been completed for foster carer’s
- To carry out other administrative duties to support the fostering service, as and when required

**Relevant Skills**:

- Good IT Skills, and familiar with Microsoft Office and Database packages
- Good administrative Skills
- Organisation skills

**Salary**: £21,000.00 per year
