**Activities Coordinator £10.50 per hour**

**Hours: 40 hours per week**

We are currently recruiting for a full time Activities Coordinator to join our beautiful residential and nursing home in Southdowns Nursing Home. The hours of this role will be 40hrs a week, flexibility will be required at times to suit the needs of business.

**To be successful in this post you will need to be able to**:

- Identify residents' activity needs and wishes through discussion, assessment and observation, and produce a varied programme based on these findings
- Explore the most appropriate methods and resources for meeting activity needs, including group events and individual sessions, involving internal and external sources and involving community-based resources
- Organise theme and fund-raising events as required, based on local holidays, traditions etc
- Organise outings as appropriate, giving consideration to safety needs and staffing requirements and Covid-19 regulations
- Manage monthly activity budgets for entertainment, materials and outings in accordance with Company procedures
- Ensure risk assessments have been carried out on all activities and outings

If you are a warm and empathetic person and passionate about making a difference to the lives of our residents then you may be the person we are looking for. You will also need to be highly organised and have strong communication skills.

**You will need the following skills and qualities**:

- Experience of working in a similar role is essential
- Have a strong interest in working in elderly care services and a desire to make a difference
- Be reliable and have a flexible approach to your working pattern

Our home provides care on a 24 hour basis, 7 days a week including weekends and bank holidays. This means we need reliable and flexible staff working within our services.
