4creative is the multi-awarded, highly creative, in-house agency for Channel 4. It forms part of the Marketing and Communications Division. 4creative is responsible for developing and delivering all advertising campaigns and channel packaging for Channel 4 in every media. As such, 4creative plays a key role in projecting a coherent sense of the 4-brand family.**JOB PURPOSE**

The Executive Producer’s role is to deliver the creative vision of 4creative, overseeing and managing an end to end production process and supporting the Producers and production team to produce and deliver campaigns across all media.**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Running and managing an efficient production process for clip-based promotions across their relevant Channels; including assigning Producers & Directors in conjunction with the relevant channel Head of On-Air / Creative Director.
- Forecasting and managing the annual budget, overseeing and managing Producers in delivering clip based promotions (including but not limited to Marketing and Commissioning approvals), legal certification, meeting the assigned delivery schedule, end to end cost control, and compliance with company policies and procedures
- For Campaign work, the EP is responsible for overseeing the entire project, delivering outstanding creative work within budget and on time, and tracking all production budgets contained within a campaign for the duration of the project.
- Campaigns will be assigned to an Executive Producer by the Head of Production and Operations, and assignments can be cross-channel based on availability and suitability for the campaign.
- EP’s to track CP’s and Producers time and are responsible for fair allocation of work across the Production team.
- In consultation with the Head of Production and Operations; EP’s with CP’s allocate Producers and build production teams for each project/campaign. The EP is responsible for sourcing and securing best in class Creative & Production talent across their Campaigns.
- EP’s will work closely with CP’s & Producers to scope out rough timelines and potential costs to supply to the Project manager.
- Overseeing and supporting the CP’s & Producers throughout the production. Making sure of production best practice across all elements of production. Schedules to be consistent across all projects and shall contain all relevant approvals across Creative, Director and Marketing.
- Responsible for ensuring Producers are rigorously and efficiently budgeting. EP’s to open project forms, create deal memo, raising cost codes and close jobs with CP’s. EP’s to make sure reconciliations are completed in a timely manner.
- Liaise with Marketing regarding budgets and finance and manage the prompt budget approval and sign off process; including the accurate closing down of production cost managers and final cost report sign off
- Create a good working relationship with OMD. Attend the bi-weekly meeting with OMD to get a head start on any media strategies and update the team.
- Responsible for month end financial reporting for both clips and campaigns as required by the Production Accountant and Marketing Finance
- Approval of invoices and expenses in line with 4creative/ Channel 4 policy
- Build a portfolio of suppliers, freelancers, crew across all media to unsure C4 are working with the best talent and most diverse range possible. Creative a 4creative talent database. Managing and overseeing the contracting of suppliers and freelancers.
- Build relationships with external Production partners, and identify the best Creative & Production collaborators across Campaigns.
- Ensure that 4creative’s Health and Safety advisors have been consulted in good time for all shoots and that their advice is adhered to
- Ensure that all shoots are declared to 4creative’s insurance company, that they are consulted in good time, and that their advice is adhered to.
- Ensure that during the course of production, 4creative/ Channel 4 policies and procedures as outlined in the 4creative Production Guidelines manual and on the Channel 4 intranet are adhered to.
- Responsible for ensuring that all contractual and legal requirements are managed during the course of production including but not limited to release forms, equity contracts, music licensing, stills/archive licences, copy/script
- approvals through Clearcast/RACC and the BBFC, and DBS checks where applicable.
- Ability to deputise in the Head of Production and Operation’s absence, and support and cover for the other Executive Producer’s as required, especially in times of absence.
