My client is a large organisation operating in the Not-for-profit sector. They have a strong focus on staff well being, career development and an excellent attitude toward worklife balance.
You will be responsible for:

- Maintaining a raised profile of the internal audit team and obtaining by-in to its services from colleagues across the Group
- Operating a 3 lines of defence model to develop a risk based internal audit plan, which focusses on areas of the highest risk and in most need of assurance
- Managing the delivery of the internal audit plan, ensuring audits are delivered on time and to the appropriate standard
- Presenting findings to senior management and the Group's Audit Committee
- Ensuring that all audit recommendations are followed up in a timely manner so that identified risks are managed effectively
- Leading the annual internal audit planning cycle, ensuring that assurance is coordinated across the Group to avoid duplication.
- Reporting progress against the internal audit plan to the Audit Committee.
- Commissioning and overseeing the outsourced audits
