Evaluation Coordinator

The role is based in the Neaco (Network for East Anglian Collaborative Outreach) Central Team, part of the Widening Participation team at the University of Cambridge.
The University leads on this collaborative project involving five universities and eight Further Education colleges around the East Anglia region. The Central Team is responsible for ensuring that all partners are working towards common objectives and reporting to the Office for Students (OfS) on the progress of the project.
Evaluation of the impact of the Neaco consortium activities is a key requirement of the Uni Connect initiative funded by the Office for Students (OfS). Working within the TASO framework, the Evaluation Coordinator will be responsible for developing innovative approaches to evaluating Neaco activities to assess their effectiveness and inform future interventions. The person appointed will also have responsibility for ensuring that project data is uploaded onto the Higher Education Access Tracker (HEAT) database.
The Evaluation Coordinator will work collaboratively with the HEAT team and other Uni Connect partnerships across England with a view to providing and adopting best practice values in evaluating the impact of Neaco activities.
The Evaluation Coordinator will be a member of the Neaco Central Team and is managed on a day-to-day basis by the Neaco Project Coordinator.
Flexible working is possible for this post and the postholder will be expected to spend some time in our offices in central Cambridge. There will be some opportunities for travel to our partner sites across East Anglia.
The Evaluation Coordinator role is offered on a part time (0.5 FTE) and fixed-term basis until 31st October 2025.
**Main Duties**
- Work with the Executive and Steering Groups and develop effective methods of demonstrating impact of neaco activities, using experimental methodologies where appropriate
- Work closely with the designers and deliverers of neaco material to ensure that evaluation is integral to the sessions and resources offered to schools and colleges
- Assist with the completion of OfS operating plans and monitoring returns as required
- Attend OfS and HEAT briefing meetings
- Engage with the Higher Education Access Tracker (HEAT) NCOP initiative and upload data onto the HEAT database
**Your Skills**
- Detailed knowledge of recruitment and widening participation to Higher Education (HE) in the UK
- Experience of working in an educational environment
- Capacity to collect and analyse quantitative and qualitative data using a variety of techniques
- Ability to take initiative and be proactive with ideas and methods of evaluation.
