We are looking for **Business Improvement Consultants** **(x2)** to join the team responsible for quality and compliance across all programmes. As a dedicated specialist, you will own the checks and support to tutors arising within the provision type and feed into the overall strategy overseen by the Director of Research, Innovation and Development.
**Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week, normal hours 8:30am - 17:00 Mon to Fri)**
**Location: Hybrid/Remote**
**Travel: Essential - a full driving licence and access to a vehicle is required**
**Salary: £35,000 to £39,000 per annum**
**As a Business Improvement Consultant, you will**:
- Be responsible for the support and guidance of a team of up to 20 trainers within the specialism, working closely with the team manager, to provide feedback on the quality of delivery and work submitted
- Undertake sampling and qualification verification activities associated with the work within the provision
- Lead on quality and compliance for the allocated provision
- Provide data-driven insights to inform the improvement strategy
- Providing regular performance, quality, and compliance reports as required
- Ensure that effective training is organised and delivered to ensure the programme remains well-informed of business requirements.
- Maintain first-class knowledge of industry updates and changes in their area of expertise
- Undertake regular quality, improvement and compliance checks are undertaken at both centre and learning deliverer level.
- Ensure regulated qualifications are delivered to a high standard in line with OFQUAL/IFATE regulatory requirements as well as Awarding Organisation and End Point Assessment Organisation expectations.
- Escalate non-compliance/conformity to OTLA standards
- Establish best practice through business intelligence and research of other organisations who deliver the provision type, reporting back to the Director to enable strong market understanding and Board knowledge.
**Essential knowledge, skills and attributes include**:
- Relevant Quality Assurance or Internal Verification qualification (e.g. IQA, V1, D33/34) or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of the Funding Rules for the provision type and understanding of both current and future challenges of the delivery of the provision.
- Knowledge of designing and developing delivery models; including processes, and quality and compliance monitoring frameworks.
- Excellent analytical and report writing skills and ability to undertake deep dives of provision type to understand how to improve delivery.
- Good understanding of best practice and administration processes, with requisite experience to be able to work independently in the role.

- Evidencable business integrity and probity in previous roles.
- AEB Knowledge
- IT Literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project)
- Strong business partnership ability including with senior managers/directors
- Demonstrable ability to deliver results in a demanding work environment whilst balancing multiple priorities
- Experience of managing a quality management system or function within the Further Education sector or adult learning environment.
Flexibility, ability to travel, and having access to a vehicle are essential, as you will be required to travel and work from other bases across the UK. The post holder may need to stay overnight at other locations from time to time.
This role requires a driven, meticulous and strategic thinker who wants to get involved with assuring high quality programme implementation and delivery.
