Sewell Wallis recruitment are excited to be working with a Rotherham based leading manufacturing business. Due to expansion they are now looking to recruit someone to work in their purchasing team.
The role;
- Purchase items for production plans using the MRP System.
- Requesting quotations & raising purchase orders.
- Convert site requisitions into electronic purchase orders.
- Negotiate delivery commitments from suppliers for the production requirements.
- Manage lead times and overdue purchase orders efficiently, whilst maintaining communication with all relevant departments.
- Co-operate with other departments like Technical, Sales and Finance on day to day basis to allow for smooth running of the business.
- Maintain accurate records against specific suppliers, cost changes and input of purchase and supplier related data.
- Purchasing experience.
- Experience using an MRP system.
- Experience inputting purchasing data.
- Experience raising purchase orders.
- Able to work in a team.
- Good written and verbal skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft packages.
