**Deputy Manufacturing Manager**
A Deputy Manufacturing Manager is required with knowledge, practical experience and a broad range of skills gained from solid dose pharmaceutical manufacturing or a similar GMP production environment i.e. food or cosmetics. Ideally you will be 6 Sigma GreenBelt Certified, or have demonstrable continuous improvement experience and looking for a challenging role where you can manage projects through to completion. You will be part of a friendly and supportive team and working cross functionally within a dynamicSME environment.
**Deputy Manufacturing Manager Responsibilities**:

- Supporting the Manufacturing Manager through review and improvement of key business processes: Safety; Quality and Performance improvement
- Leading completion of investigations for non-conformances, CAPA and change controls
- Leading the Continuous Improvement (CI) process by analysing process variance, OEE and yield data, to identify potential improvements. Ensuring CI tools are used and the departments CI culture continues to evolve
- Owning and managing the department’s key performance indicators and publishing on a monthly basis
- Working with other functions such as Engineering and Operational Quality to gather and analyse facts and data, and put in place improvements that will enhance department performance
- Training and developing supervisors in non-conformance investigations, CAPA, and Change Controls.
- CMO lead on NPI’s and supporting CMO operations on new products coming into the factory.
- Acting as a role model and providing leadership in the area to encourage behavioural change
- Deputising and providing support to the Manufacturing Manager

**Deputy Manufacturing Manager Requirements**:

- Substantial knowledge and practical experience in solid dose pharmaceutical manufacturing preferred, or a similar GMP environment
- 6 Sigma Green Belt certified or demonstrable continuous improvement experience
- Root cause analysis (RCA) training
- Substantial knowledge and practical experience in non-conformance investigations
- Project and programme management skills
- Passionate about Continuous Improvement and Right First Time
- Energy and drive with a sense of urgency and ‘can-do’ attitude
- Solid dose process knowledge preferred but not essential
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to write scientific reports
- High Level of IT literacy. Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Approachable with a professional attitude
- Coaching and mentoring skills to support staff development
