Medical Erostering Advisor

We are seeking to appoint 2 highly motivated Medical eRostering Advisors on a permanent basis to join us in the Medical eRostering team which is currently implementing a Medical eRostering system across the Trust and providing business as usual (BAU) support as we progress with the implementation. The Team is responsible for promoting eRostering best practice, driving benefits realisation and supporting future Medical eRostering projects and initiatives.

The role encompasses engaging, implementing, training, coaching, and supporting managers and end users in the use of eRostering to ensure a sustainable and effective implementation of medical rostering across King’s. This post will also act as a main point of contact between the end users and the external providers. The post holder will also be expected to undertake some line management activities.

- Implement Medical eRostering to new areas in a timely manner, in line with the project implementation schedule.
- Engage with key stakeholders within the medical workforce to ensure implementation stages are planned for their respective areas and secure the commitment for their engagement in the implementation process.
- Assist Medical e-Rostering Manager to develop and adjust implementation plan for new rosters in the Trust.
- Provide regular progress updates of implementations and escalate any issues to the Medical eRostering Manager.
- Support Medical eRostering team colleagues in the roll out and management of new and existing eRostering system functionalities.
- To provide ad hoc implementation and “business as usual” support to roster managers, rota coordinators, service managers and clinical leads.
- Work proactively with Unit managers within the clinical areas to review roster templates and assist managers in the refreshing of their templates in line with budgets
- To provide specialised rostering support to staff, identify and analyse problems and develop business/service appropriate solutions, whilst considering a range of options.
- Be actively engaged with national eRostering User Groups to gain good practice ideas presenting on KCH experiences as required.
- Work with key stakeholders and the Medical eRostering team to deliver Workforce goals & Medical eRostering KPIs through expanding and promoting effective the use of the eRostering system and drive the implementation of Lord Carter’s recommendations, in line with NHSE/I benchmarks
