Housing Coordinator

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate **Housing Coordinator **to join our team. This role is key to ensuring the smooth running of Spinnaker House Extra Care facility, providing high-quality service and support to our residents.
Opened in 2024, Spinnaker House is our brand-new extra care scheme. The facility has a dedicated Torus housing team who will work collaboratively with the care provider to ensure all residents are able to actively engage in social activities and events in their schemes and local communities. Spinnaker House also includes a commercially operated bistro and salon which will offer an exciting opportunity for a local business to deliver services to residents and people in the surrounding areas.
- This is a permanent role (Mon - Fri, 37hrs) based in Rockferry, Wirral._
**Responsibilities**:
- Be the first point of contact for resident queries.
- Assist resident with tenancy matters, coordinate services, and help build a positive community atmosphere.
- Assist and empower residents to maintain independent living.
- Enable residents to manage their homes and tenancies safely.
- Record the risks and needs of residents and agree interventions that will enable people to remain at home using a case management approach.
- Make appropriate referrals and work collaboratively with other agencies to ensure residents are receiving the care and support they need to enable them to remain at home.
- Help facilitate resident led activities e.g. bingo night/coffee morning.
- Liaise with our on-site care team to stay up to date with resident’s needs.
- Report building maintenance issues and follow up on repairs.
**Skills & Experience**:
- GCSE Grade 3 and above education or equivalent relevant qualification, training or experience.
- Evidence of and commitment to continual professional and personal development.
- Have experience of working with older and or vulnerable people within a housing or social care environment.
- Have a track record of completing assessments and developing support plans.
