**HG Gladwell & Sons have been trading from Copdock Mill near Ipswich for over 100 years. This family owned company is now one of the largest independent manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors in the South East of England. Our Head Office and flagship store is based in Suffolk, East Anglia, with another 18 retail stores spread across Kent, Essex, Suffolk and Northampton.**

**We are looking for a new team member to join our Marketing team based at Copdock Mill our Head Office.**

**This is a part time role with some flexibility for working part of the week at home.**

**Based at**:

- **Copdock Head office, with the opportunity to work from home part of the week.**
- **Occasional visits to our stores are also required.**

Position reports into:

- Marketing Manager

Hours:

- Monday to Thursday - up to 16 hours a week
- 10 am to 2 pm with 20 min paid break each day

Job Purpose:

- To provide marketing and project management assistance to the department, organising campaigns and developing marketing strategies.

Key responsibilities & duties include but are not exclusive:

- Acting as first point of contact for marketing for trade and retail enquiries
- Assist with community and charity projects as per the company direction
- Efficiently interpret requests over the phone or in person and respond clearly/effectively to*

*verbal and written instructions
- Assist with the production of digital (including Gladnet) and hard-copy literature for internal and external communication
- Assist with monthly updates of Sales Presentation Tool for Sales team, including collating price lists, special offers and data sheets
- Production of Point of Sale for Gladwells Pet & Country Stores and assisting Branch Managers with seasonal displays
- Assist with cover of social media platforms during absence of Social Media Executive
- Communicate and liaise effectively verbally and in writing with customers, suppliers,*

*visitors, enquirers, co-workers and managers
- Maintenance of the Organisation’s marketing databases in line with GDPR

Skills Required:

- Computer literate, competent with IT/software, including Microsoft office suite and Google and able to problem solve minor IT issues using own initiative
- Excellent communication skills; high level of spoken and written English with the ability to deal with people from a variety of backgrounds
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage own workload with attention to detail

- Experience in Marketing would be preferred but is not essential
- Experience in using social media platforms
- Experience using Canva

**Salary**: £6.90-£9.60 per hour
